NEH Chair Shelly Lowe Visits Chebeague Island Historical Society
On September 6th, key figures including Shelly Lowe from the National Endowment for the Humanities visited the Chebeague Island Historical Society. They engaged with local members and explored an exhibit on the island’s evolution, learning about its Indigenous history and adaptations to tourism, showcasing the resilience of Maine’s island communities.

Thanks, everyone, for joining our Harvest Open House on the 20th. It was great to see Islanders drop in for a bite to eat, a visit to the exhibit and some holiday shopping at our store. A bright spot was a visit from the two Cappys: Cappy Leonard and Cappy Dyer.
